Expert Witness Services

Court-qualified. Court-tested.

E-Hounds experts have been qualified in over 250 cases across state and federal jurisdictions since 1998 - in digital and computer forensics, IT, eDiscovery, consumer electronics, video surveillance devices, and mobile electronics. Founder Adam Sharp is personally qualified in more than 180 of those matters. We provide written declarations, deposition testimony, and live courtroom testimony.

Overview

Experience with the room, the record, and the cross.

Expert testimony is a distinct discipline. The same analyst who ran the forensic work is who you want on the stand, and that analyst has to communicate technical findings clearly, defend methodology under cross, and stay composed when opposing counsel gets aggressive.

Our team has provided testimony in civil matters, criminal prosecution and defense, bankruptcy and receivership cases, product liability class actions, copyright infringement disputes, family law, and federal enforcement matters. Ranges of jurisdictions include Florida state and federal courts, as well as appointments in Alabama, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, and New York.

What We Produce

Work product suitable for filing and for testimony.

Expert declarations and affidavits

Sworn statements of findings, methodology, and qualifications, prepared in the form and citation style your matter requires. Suitable for attaching to receiver motions, evidentiary rulings, and federal filings.

Deposition preparation and testimony

Full preparation sessions with counsel, review of opposing expert reports, and deposition testimony with transcripts suitable for trial use or for summary judgment.

Live courtroom testimony

Direct examination, cross, and rebuttal. Professional courtroom presentations using exhibits and demonstratives prepared for non-technical finders of fact.

Standards

Every opinion is tied to reproducible methodology.

Our findings are grounded in established forensic methodology - the kind a qualified adversary can replicate, review, and challenge. When tool limitations exist, we disclose them. When our confidence in a conclusion varies with assumptions, we say so. Opposing experts have an easier time agreeing with us than attacking us, which is how it should be.

Our experts maintain current certifications and continuing education in digital forensics, network intrusion, and related specialties. We are members of the IEEE and AAAS and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with evolving standards.
